Elections 2026: what are the parties saying on climate and nature?

On 7th May, millions of us will vote in the biggest elections until the general election – for the Welsh Senedd, Scottish Parliament, and for thousands of council seats across England.

The elections in May are the most politically significant mid-term elections in recent memory.  The results will tell the government what kind of country we want. So if you care about restoring nature and tackling the climate emergency, it’s time to make your voice heard.

Greenpeace has been scouring every manifesto to see what each party’s plans are on the key areas we need to see urgent action on: climate and energy, homes and transport, justice and democracy, and nature and the environment.Our analysis for Wales, Scotland and England will be added here soon.
